Why Family Daycare?
Why family day care?
Family Day Care (FDC) is a way for me to bring my passions of nurturing young children and supporting mothers together. Having experienced all kinds of different care options I knew that FDC aligned with my values which is why my children have been in FDC and now I can bring that wonderful environment into my home!
We all know how isolating being a mother can be and unfortunately over the years our support networks seem to be getting
smaller and smaller.
I am here to join your network, to support you and your family and of course your children’s learning.
No big centres
No overwhelming bright lights and loud noises
No children getting lost of left out in a huge sea of other kids
and no communication barriers
Just a connection from my family to yours. I want you to become a part of our family and treat my house like it is your own.
You will be able to depend on us to help you get through the transition back to work or even help you have a couple of days to
yourself! without feeling guilty!
A bit about me
Hi, Im christie!
I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself and my core values. I believe it is really important that find a services that aligns with your own family values so your children receive consistent messages.
For me at Embraced FDC I like to take a holistic approach to learning.
What do I mean by this?
Well, children are always learning, absorbing everything around them and forming new connections. They are leaning through everything they do! Which means that everything is a learning opportunity, from playing in the garden to taking a nap and eating their lunch.
At the core of my values is positive communication which enables me tocreate a safe space for the children where they are accepted and supported. I want your children to feel comfortable in expressing themselves and being true to who they really are. This adds to their sense of belonging and is one of the key areas in the Early Years Learning Framework.
I understand that every child is unique and has their own learning style. This is why I love to let the children lead the way. They are responsible for their own learning and I am there to facilitate, support and comfort. For children to learn in an academic sense they need to feel supported emotionally and the rest will follow. Children are naturally inquisitive learners and the environment that we provide will encourage them to explore and develop.
The environment plays a huge part in holistic learning. The children need to feel like they are welcome, like they belong, as do their parents! The way in which we do this is by allowing the children to treat the house like it is their own. We will have photo‘s of the children playing displayed and encourage parents to join us for meal times at drop off and pick up.
The children will also be encouraged to work on large scale protects without having to pack them away. They will have the freedom to explore their curiosities. as they please and come back to them to further their learning.
